Merit came highly recommended to me and I decided to take a chance using her with my most important client. The results were so good that we have worked together since on a variety of different projects. She is easy to work with, manages a range of products well and has great attention to detail. We enjoyed her so much that we hired her to build one of our own sites.
I think the awards (National & International) speak volumes about the content and creativity of our web site but I wanted to outline specifically how your design and implementation has worked so well for our facility.
First and foremost, our customers the boaters, have very specific needs in that they must have current wind, tide and weather updates in order to make travel plans. The web site you created for us provides all of this information, including a live camera shot of the local bay area, as well as maps, dock sites, and an event calendar. Many of our boaters have commented on how easy it has been to navigate and use our site and they love being able to make reservations online.
Secondly, boaters like to have fun, and we are a destination marina catering to the yacht club and the weekend boater. PIER 39 is a dynamic shopping and entertainment complex and the web site has captured our “personality” with its’ innovative and interactive features such as whirling nautical emblems, barking sea lions and an animated event calendar.
By the Fall of 2013, the time had come to update our company website. We are a very old bicycle manufacturing company from NYC, and had been selling directly on the internet since 2004. We had previously been a strictly do-it-yourself web operation dating back to the mid-90’s, but knew this time we needed to enlist professional help in bringing our moderate-to-high traffic E-Commerce store up to speed. Being very protective of our backoffice, we would need exactly the right person to entrust with the job.
After sending out a few feelers through the “Shopsite recommended developers” page, Merit responded right away with a friendly, enthusiastic email and quote for the work we wanted to do. It was clear from the start she would be the one. Over the next several weeks, we had numerous productive conference calls with Merit and Tara in order to get the project going exactly the way we wanted. We made a lot of changes throughout the process, sometimes going back and forth on the same issues numerous times before we got it “just right”. Every one of our requests was handled with ease and a virtual smile on everyone’s face. The team at Digital Design Solutions even offered their own suggestions along the way.
In the end, we wound up modernizing the look and feel of our product pages by about 15 years. We are now able to display product overview, details, photo galleries, shipping information, “you may also like”, product reviews, and other features all in a nice, tidy package. We hope this will do wonders for our customers, as we can now provide them with substantially more information than we did before. In addition, we have a brand new shopping cart and check out screens, which are fully branded, and which should inspire confidence in our potential buyers.
Overall, we are very satisfied with the outcome AND the process of modernizing our website. We could not have imaged working with anyone better. Thank you Merit and Tara!
My company has had an online presence since 1995. Since that time, we had experienced mediocre online success. Due to our limited programming skills we were unable to implement a shopping cart system and the website lacked a professional image.
In the fall of 2003, Merit overhauled our website including the implementation of a shopping cart and improving our search engine ranking. Due to Merit’s skills, our online sales and traffic have easily doubled as a result.
