Built in 1865, The Kenwood Inn, formerly known as Hotel La Borde and Hotel Kenwood, is the only surviving hotel from St. Augustine’s Gilded Age. Once considered the finest inn of its time by Henry Flagler, it stood alongside the city’s grand hotels, most of which were lost in the 1914 fire. Originally a 22-room hotel with outdoor plumbing, it thrived as a boarding house until the 1970s when it became St. Augustine’s first licensed bed and breakfast.
Today, The Kenwood Inn blends Old Florida elegance with tropical charm. Its 14 individually decorated guest rooms and suites feature en suite bathrooms, premium bedding, flat-screen TVs, WiFi, and spa-quality amenities. Guests can enjoy rich hardwood floors, antique furnishings, and luxurious linens, ensuring a comfortable and memorable stay in the heart of historic St. Augustine.
